- Incase of a black out, there are a few reasons you may not need to call an electrician:
1. Circuit breaker may have tripped. This may be an easy fix. Try this before calling:
1. Locate your panel and check if any of the switches are in the opposite direction(off) and try to click it back on.
2. Flip the main switch off and turn it back on.
3. If you have an outlet you use often, reset the outlet and then return to the panel to try the switch method.
These are easy fixes that can save you service call fees or electrical techs form providing false services for a simple switch on/off issue.
